Q : What basic services do you offer?
A : I offer a range of general dental services with an inter disciplinary approach. This means that I work with various specialists in a team approach to assure the best outcome for the patient. For specific services follow the links at the top of the page. As a part of these services, I especially emphasize proper diagnosis. I think it is important to look at the causes of the problems rather than just looking at the treatment. Going over the causes can help prevent problems and keep the cost of care to a minimum. Prevention and general dentistry are the basic services that I offer. I also offer some specific dental services too.
Q : What is Restorative Dentistry?
A : Restorative Dentistry is dentistry that focuses on proper form, function and aesthetics.
Q : What periodontal services do you offer?
A : I offer general periodontal services which are considered Phase I non-surgical treatment. This includes proper diagnosis and treatment planning with the emphasis on preventive therapy. In the event that surgical intervention is indicated the patient will be informed of all risks and benefits and appropriate referrals will be made. This also helps prevent over-treatment with unnecessary surgery.
Q : Tell us about Comprehensive Treatment - What is it?
A : Comprehensive treatment involves looking at the entire individual rather than focusing on a specific symptom or problem. The benefit of this method is that future problems can be prevented. This is because the root of the problem is corrected with “prevention” in mind. Therefore, a comprehensive treatment approach actually addresses the actual disease and dysfunction. This is done by looking at the causes and then working towards restoring the function and parts of the system which have been affected by dental disease or dysfunction. Comprehensive treatment is all about looking at the patient from a comprehensive and holistic point of view.
